Here is the text of this interview and it really summarizes my
primary views on what it takes to succeed online with your EZ Wealth Solution business.

Virginia: "(chuckle) Well. thanks, Stan. I like to think that I have a deep understanding of what it means to show commitment, not to give up and not to give excuses. I know what it means to be pushed outside the comfort zone."

Stan: "Let's begin our interview with the basics; tell us a little about your self..."

Virginia: "Well, Stan, my age has to be guessed at. (LOL) I always say that I was born in 1900 when those pesky year of birth boxes show up. I am happily married and between my husband and I we have 5 adult children - some with kids of their own. We have both 'retired' though now I am busier with my internet business than I was in my offline career. My husband and I owned our own business conducting a personal development/management training license, very successfully, in a hard-bitten steel and coal city in Australia for 20 years. (The 1980s and 90s - remember those times? ... high interest rates, Seinfeld and mainly pre-internet ...). The training originated from the USA and this was a further barrier to penetrating this hard cynical market. We HAD to produce results, with an 'invisible' product for both our individual and corporate clients - and we did. Gaining trust and maintaining enduring relationships were essential to our success. This background has prepared me well in mentoring people in my online business."

Stan: "That's a very key point of a successful business philosophy, isn't it: 'Gaining trust and maintaining enduring relationships' In other words, what you are saying is that you have to sell yourself first, and THEN sell your product."

 Virginia: "I have been marketing on the net now for close on eleven years - and I find that the more I know - the more I have yet to know. I have followed every trend that emerged in internet marketing over these years and have now focused on a successful 1up/2up business - very successfully I might add - since January this year. My twitter profile contains links to this business and my blog: virginiareynolds.com gives my views on the most common types of internet businesses. You and I know that the net is forever changing and evolving - but the one constant that does NOT change is that to succeed on the net you have to have the same mindset necessary to succeed in any offline business. That mindset is one of being a business owner rather than employee, and be prepared to do what it takes to succeed, ethically. That means that to make money you have to spend some, even before making a profit, - and not assume that the internet, in itself, is some magic wand for success - it isn't."

Stan: "I was extremely impressed with your blog, Virginia. It's professionally done and offers tons of pertinent marketing advice. So just what are your general thoughts about the Way of the Winner ebook itself, and the W.O.W! program in general?"  

Virginia: "Stan, I have followed you since 2001 with the Big Dogs program. What attracted me to W.O.W! was your own credibility in the first instance and the excellent revelations about attracting targeted traffic for any online business contained in the W.O.W! eBook and system. Since signing up for all CHIPs of W.O.W! a month ago I have been very pleased with the results so far. Your 'back' has matched your 'front' to say the least!"

Stan: "In addition to promoting through the CHIP programs, what other types of advertising and promotion have you found to be effective?"

  Virginia: "The CHIP's are obviously my advertising 'bedrock,' Stan, but I also concentrate my efforts on selected Business Social Networks and Twitter. I seek connections and friends and then communicate with them the right way. My blog has posts on how I approach Business Social Networks. I feel very comfortable offering WOW on these networks as everybody needs extra traffic to their primary business. In offering WOW I am still communicating to them in terms of their primary interests, not mine. One method I find particularly useful in Social Networks is to mask my hoplink for the WOW eBook with my own URL (earnfromtraffic.com). People on Social Networks seem to respond better to straight, 'catchy', URL's, rather than obvious affiliate ones."

Stan: "Well, Virginia, I think we've taken up enough of your time, and it's obvious you are one very busy young lady! Thank you for your incisive and instructive commentary!"

Top Ten Ways to Use Twitter for Marketing

Twitter is a micro-blogging site that asks you a basic question,
"What are you doing?" It allows anyone with an account to write
up to 140 characters in a text field as a means to update,
comment, promote or communicate to others who are "following"
you. When people follow you, they see what you've recently
contributed when they login. They see your "tweets", which are
the messages you leave.

And of course you can follow others who tweet about the things
that interest you. As an Internet marketer you may want to follow other Internet marketers, for example.

(Virginia: In using the Search function you can look up all posts that contain EZ Wealth Solution or ezwealth solution and then follow other key promoters.)

Like anything, and this is especially true of working with social media, the more you give, the more you get. In other words, the more often you tweet the more activity you'll generate. Some suggest that you tweet a few times a day, every day. Not every tweet needs to be profound. But they should all be useful.

(Virginia: You can use http://www.google.com/alerts and http://twitterfeed.com and select a keyword that will draw interesting feeds. For example I use "internet marketing" (title only) for my ezyhelper twitter account, and I use "network marketing" for my giniareynolds twitter account. How to set this up is contained in Harris Felman's http://www.coupdetweet.com - or you can figure it out just by following each site's instructions.)

It's important that you don't abuse Twitter for marketing and
promoting your products, services or affiliate links. Most of
your tweets ought to be about offering your followers useful and
valuable information. Only once in a while should you try to use
Twitter to promote something. Otherwise you'll be perceived as a
spammer, and no one wants that tag.

(Virginia: A useful site that will tell you if you are a spammer or not is http://www.twitchuck.com - the main message is: DON'T SPAM!)

Imagine if you had a large number of people following your
tweets? Some people have tens of thousands following them. If you had something to promote and you had a large following, you could quickly and efficiently alert a lot of people of your promotion.

It acts sort of like an opt-in mass emailing blast to your house
email list, but it's a heck of a lot easier and faster. This is
the power of Twitter.

One thing that I've noticed with Twitter is that it can seem
overwhelming at times. The sheer information on Twitter, the
'how-to's', tutorials and all the other ubiquitous advice on
how to use and take advantage of it can seem hard to understand
and implement. So here's an easy-to-understand list of the top
ten ways in which you can use Twitter to market yourself, your
business and your website.

The Top 10 Ways To Use Twitter for Marketing:

1. Use it to promote new pieces of content you or your company
create to drive traffic to your site. From online articles to
blog posts or from videos to webinars, each time you add
something to the Web that is of value, tweet about it and include a link. (Most people on Twitter use www.TinyURL.com to take a long URL and make it short.)

(Virginia: I make use of "tags" in my generic blog: http://www.virginiareynolds.com and the feeds mentioned above pick up my new posts automtically. Again, I obtained this blog with choice of template and a year's free hosting through http://www.coupdetweet.com. You can still tweet about your new posts as well.
I use a far better url shortening service: http://bit.ly/ as this will give the number of hits to your site.)

2. Use it for learning new marketing ideas, strategies and
techniques. If you follow the right people, and you have to be
picky about who you follow, you'll get pointed to a good amount
of useful tutorials, videos, e-zines and other things that teach
you about marketing.

(Virginia: Also, if you use feeds with useful generic keywords in the titles then read your OWN posts - you will gain an enormous number of ideas and see what's trending in the internet marketing world.)

3. Use it to get new customers. Use Twitter's search to find
people who may be interested in your product or service. There
are many ingenious ways to search for people on Twitter. For
example, if you sell red widgets you could go to
http://search.twitter.com and find people who have tweeted
specifically looking for red widgets. To do this, type the
following into the search box: red widgets?

* You'll notice a lot of the results will be of others selling
red widgets. These ones will all obviously have links in them to
direct people to the site they're selling red widgets on. To
weed these people/tweets out, use the negative sign like this:
-http red widgets?

* Since every link has 'http' in it, using the negative sign
in front of it will cause your search results to not include any
tweets with links in them.

(Virginia: I use this feature to find out about what is trending in the Get Paid Today, the 1up/2up, top tier areas and competing businesses.)

4. Use it to build your email list. Use Twitter's search to find
people who may be interested in the monthly newsletter you send
out to your opt-in house email list. Invite these people to join.

(Virginia: I use this to attract people to my 7 day internet training bootcamp at http://www.trafficsnatch.com).

5. Utilize Twitter plugins or add-ons such as TweetMyBlog or The
Twitter Updater, which both automatically make tweets of every
new blog post you publish. Also check out TwitThis. When visitors to your website click on the TwitThis button or link, it takes the URL of the Web page and creates a shorter URL using TinyURL.
Then visitors can send this shortened URL and a description of
the web page to all of their followers on Twitter. Finally, look
at TweetLater, a service that allows you to write lots of tweets
at once and then schedule them to go out over time.

(Virginia: I use tweetlater - now renamed SocialOomph (http://www.socialoomph.benefyts.com) - to send an inspirational quote from each of my 5 twitter accounts at 9am USA ET - again these quotes - hundreds of them - are supplied at http://www.coupdetweet.com.)

6. Use it to build buzz about an upcoming product or website
launch.

(Virginia: Tweet EZ Wealth Solution new press releases and product/system updates.)

7. Use it to better brand yourself or your business. Remember,
when someone wants to learn more about you or your company, they
are increasingly using sites like Twitter for research. You could easily use Twitter to establish yourself as an authority in your field.

(Virginia: Now approaching 60,000 followers (ezyhelper) I am ranked highly in the home business/network marketing/internet marketing/mlm and similar categories in wefollow.com and twellow.com - this is FREE exposure. My tightly focused twitter profile then brands me. You can do the same. I started getting serious with Twitter only last May. However, be careful not to be overly aggressive in seeking followers - see my previous email/post on this.

8. Use it to update followers on breaking news regarding your
company. If your company is mentioned in a new article, tweet
about it and include a link to the article. Or if you're at a
conference or trade show, you could tweet what you're doing and
invite people to visit you in person.

9. Use it for business networking, master-mind groups (see
Napoleon Hill), and getting yourself seen by high-profile people
in your industry.

10. Use it as an instant messaging system to keep you and your
team on the same page during projects. This is especially useful
for those who work with teams spread out in different cities or
countries.

You should note that this top 10 list is not in order of
importance or in any particular order. I suggest that you give
Twitter a try if you haven't already. See if you can apply a few
of these techniques and tactics to help you take advantage of
Twitter as a marketing tool.

And one more important thing to remember is that there is no
silver bullet in marketing. You should always be trying and
implementing numerous tactics when marketing your business.
Don't only rely on Twitter or any other one thing. Instead, use
Twitter (or any other Web 2.0 site) as simply one more tool in
your entire social media and marketing toolbox.

As you know my style differs from that of my sponsor, Jim Carpenter. However, sometimes, he expresses ideas that I completely agree with, in spite of the "salesmanship" of his writing style.

So, rather than put my spin on it I am reproducing Jim's recent email verbatim below.

However, let me say a few things first (OK, I admit - it's my spin on this subject too ...)

I have had level 5 upgrades just fall into my lap, at the most unexpected times. I have had my team-members have level 4 upgrades roll up to me because they were not at that level. I have had level 5 pass-ups from my level 5s which have helped them qualify - fully.

You just CANNOT assume that you will NOT get level 5 upgrades just because you are at level 1 or 2. You just cannot assume that everyone will initially come in at levels 1 and 2. Some people DO come straight in at level 5. There is nothing reckless, wrong or untoward about this. You can't assume that EVERYONE will come in at lower levels and lever their way up. You have to be prepared for this.

You CANNOT ask your level 5 upgrade to backtrack and wait until you upgrade. The system will not let you. Once they hit the Purchase Package button - that's it! They have lodged their order.

I make no apology for the $1885 needed to fully upgrade to level 5 (with being qualified at level 1 - and there is a way to do this within 24 hours - just email me ...). This amount is peanuts when compared to many other top-tier 1up/2up systems out there - usually with flimsy product. (Also, there is nothing new about the 1up/2up compensation model. Earlier versions have existed for centuries - where essentially the mentor is paid fully or partly out of commissions on the first sales made by the new entrant.)

Personally, I don't hold to the view that it is best to "work your way up". Sure, it is a valid option, but it is NOT the best option. When you put in more "skin" upfront you tend to work harder and more effectively.

I have top performing team-members who have upgraded to level 5 - they have shown enormous faith in their own abilities, they work hard and they are making it happen.

This is analogous to the offline personal development training business my husband and I successfully conducted for over 20 years.

Each course was priced at the dollar equivalent of $2000 (to $2500) and we competed against the local community and university campus run Adult Education $100 courses. We had both private individual and corporate clients. Our fee structure was the same for both.

We succeeded - and we succeeded in a hard-bitten steel and coal city here in Australia with USA style training (and this City is not in love with the USA by any means ...) - in the 80s and 90s - and there were tough times then ... remember those high interest rates!

Why did we succeed? It was because when crunch-time comes ANYONE will find $2000 if the need is strong enough.

When people make an investment in themselves they WORK at it. They don't jump ship and give up.

They persevere because they have put up a stake in their own personal development - which, by definition, stretches them out of their comfort zones.

They don't latch onto the nearest convenient excuse.

It's easier for the the $100 course people to give up the moment they are stretched. Out comes the white surrender flag. Others cop the blame. All they do is bounce ... bounce ... bounce ... Does this sound familiar?

This happens several times a week and I just hate to
see it happen, especially because it doesn't have to

2 things that I just hate to see, but it happens just
about every day now.

First, Resellers are losing "qualifiers". What I mean
by this is that if you come in at any other Levels
then ALL 5 Levels, if someone joins you at ANY
of the Levels that you are not in at, you lose them
as "qualifiers" at that Level. And, when you finally
do UPGRADE to the Levels that you are not in at,
then you will still need to get 2 "qualifiers".

Second, Resellers are losing "roll-ups". This means
that if you come in at, as an example, Levels 1 2
and get qualified at those Levels, you will be able
to earn UNLIMITED $47 $97 payments...BUT,
if anyone you bring in comes in at say ALL 5 Levels,
then the person as well as the commissions "roll-up"
to the next person qualified at those Levels. And,
remember, if at a later time, you decide to UPGRADE
to the higher Levels, you will still need to get your
2 "qualifiers" at each Level.

PEOPLE ARE LOSING MONEY EVERY DAY!!

So, here's my recommendation. If you haven't
become a Reseller yet, do it today. And, come
in at the HIGHEST Level possible. If you can
come in at ALL 5 Levels, that's the best, then
you don't lose any qualifiers or commissions.

But, if you can't afford to do that, come in at
the highest Levels possible and work your
way up. The important thing is to GET STARTED
today!
