Pareto's 80/20 rule's most popular application is the observation that 80 per cent of a company's revenues are generated by 20 per cent of its clients.
However in large online communities and social networks there is a division among visitors. There are those who actively contribute and there are those referred to as "lurkers". ie 90 per cent of online users are lurkers or users who visit online communities but don't contribute; 9 per cent contribute from time to time; and only 1 per cent of online users are active contributors.
In other areas the inequality of active participation is even worse (eg blogs).
90 percent are static (lurkers), 9 per cent are occasional and 1 per cent, power contributors.
This applies to affiliate marketing where 1% conversion from an Adwords Ad is considered normal.
I believe that this 1-9-90 rule also applies to internet businesses such as EZ Wealth Solution. Probably one in a hundred who see our our ad will take the Tour - and of these, nine will upgrade from which one will have the drive and guts to make it happen.
Now this may discourage you. It does NOT discourage me. Why? Well, think of the maths here - if everybody took the tour and then if everybody upgraded and then if everybody succeeded there will be a viral "red tide" straight out of a Clive Cussler novel whereby everyone will become promoters of EZ Wealth - with nobody left to promote to.
Look at the 1-9-90 rule in a positive way. Let the numbers work for you. Somebody who is a lurker today may end up being a "one" tomorrow. Circumstances change. Obstacles are overcome. Objections are removed. Minds change.
On the other hand, someone who you THINK is a "one" today may then get spooked by a negative forum post planted by disenchanted mlmers, annoyed that they have lost a leader to EZ Wealth Solution (this happened to me recently) - and end up being a lurker again. Just accept the reality here and work with it. People have to convince themselves, we can't do that for them.
What this really implies is that we shall never run out of prospects - we just have to find them, and from these, find the tigers who make things happen.
So the 1-9-90 rule really works in our favor.
The world is not a mathematical progression - and we have to work with what we have today. The world is our marketplace and will always provide prospects for our business. There is a never-ending stream (or rotation) of one's, nines and 90s.
So, don't get discouraged if everything does not fall into place as soon as you would like. Keep on keeping on.
One thing for sure - it does not matter if your focus is EZ Wealth Solution or ANY other business (online OR offline, for that matter), if you give up, then you will end up amongst the 99 per cent who don't make the grade and then forever "lurk" and wish.
If you are ready to upgrade to be a reseller or to a higher package level then congratulations! You identify with the top 1% who make things happen in this world - rather than the 99% who just wish.
